Privacy Policy


Welcome to HiveFlow! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding contract between you and HiveFlow (“we”, “our”, “Company”) for the HiveFlow mobile application and related connected services (the “Service”). By registering, subscribing, syncing data, or using the app, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy in their current version. We may require electronic acceptance (including checkboxes at registration). You are responsible for reviewing this document periodically in the app; continued use after updates constitutes acceptance except where law requires separate consent.

2. Service Description

HiveFlow is beekeeping management software to register and track swarm traps (“baits”) and managed colonies (“swarms”), and to log inspections, feeding, attractants, captures, harvests, transfers (including bait ↔ colony), splits, losses, donations, sales, treatments, inventory, photos, QR codes, history, and statistics; show data on maps and geolocation (Mapbox as map provider; optional offline map regions you download on device); fetch weather from third-party APIs using location; receive push notifications; and use support channels (including tickets when available). The FREE plan caps your account at 8 swarms and 8 baits counted independently on our servers. Premium (PRO), with an active store subscription, removes those caps. The Service may work offline with local storage and sync when connected. HiveFlow is not professional beekeeping, veterinary, tax, or legal advice—it is a record-keeping tool you use at your own risk.

3. User Registration and Account

You must provide truthful information and keep your email and password secure. We may offer Google or Apple sign-in via Firebase, subject to those providers’ policies. You must not share credentials, mass-create accounts abusively, or impersonate others. You are responsible for activity under your account until you report a demonstrable security issue.

Age Requirements

The application is intended for users 18 years or older.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Deletion

You may request account deletion in settings; we may require password or email confirmation. We recommend cancelling your subscription in Google Play or the App Store before deletion when applicable to avoid further charges outside our control. After deletion, profile and hosted operational data may be erased or anonymized per our Privacy Policy and legal duties (backups, disputes, fraud). Uninstalling the app does not delete your cloud account or server data.

4. Subscription Plans and Stores (IAP)

Premium (PRO) is sold through auto-renewing subscriptions processed by Google Play (Android) and/or the App Store (iOS). HiveFlow supplies the digital content; Google or Apple is the merchant of record. We do not store full card numbers. Final price, taxes, currency, receipts, and invoices depend on your store account and payment method.

Subscription Options

Depending on store configuration, monthly and/or yearly plans may be offered, as well as free trials or introductory pricing only when enabled in the store. The official purchase sheet from Google or Apple at checkout prevails over any in-app summary (including cache delays, network failures, or missing prices). A verified subscription may not be linked to more than one HiveFlow account; abuse may lead to suspension or termination.

Billing and Payment

Auto-renewal continues until you cancel in your store subscriptions. The app may provide a flow that records a cancellation request on our servers; stopping charges ultimately depends on the store and subscription state there. Restored purchases are subject to backend verification and platform rules; entitlements reflect the plan actually recognized after validation.

Cancellation, Downgrade, and Refunds

You may cancel anytime in the store; you typically keep PRO until the paid period ends, per platform rules. Refunds for amounts paid to Google or Apple follow only those platforms’ policies and applicable law; HiveFlow does not refund store charges directly unless legally required. When PRO lapses or is cancelled, your account may revert to FREE and the 8 swarms / 8 baits limits apply; if you exceed those server-side counts, you may be blocked from creating new records until you comply (delete excess or resubscribe), without a warranty that excess records remain fully editable.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of performance, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant continuous availability, complete sync, integrity of local or cloud data, accuracy of maps or weather, or regulatory compliance in your jurisdiction. We will not be liable for lost profits, hive production losses, unsynced data, third-party failures (stores, Mapbox, Google, Apple, weather APIs), or indirect or consequential damages except proven wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Our aggregate liability over any twelve-month period is limited to amounts you directly paid HiveFlow for subscriptions in that period (if any); where payment is only to a store, that cap applies to refundable administrative remedies we expressly grant—mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected where they apply.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms; we will show the effective date in the app and, when reasonable, notify you by email or in-app message. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, subject to laws requiring explicit consent.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach, fraud, security risk, or legal requirement. You may stop using the Service anytime. When premium ends, FREE limits return; data that never synced may be unrecoverable from our servers.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the district of Chapecó, State of Santa Catarina, Brazil, shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms, to the extent permitted by mandatory rules of your country of residence.

10. On-device data, sync, backups, and loss risk

The app keeps local copies of records (e.g., SQLite on device) for intermittent connectivity. Sync to our servers requires stable Internet, valid authentication, plan limits, and system availability; the app may attempt periodic sync when online, without guarantee of timing, ordering, or real-time completion. While data exists only on the device or sits in an outbound queue, it is exposed to total or partial loss from app deletion, device replacement, factory reset, storage corruption, software bugs, theft, or sync conflicts (server version or last accepted write may prevail). You alone are responsible for independent backups of anything critical. By accepting these Terms you expressly acknowledge that we do not warrant recovery of information lost due to failure to sync, network outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.

11. Your content and licence to operate the Service

You retain rights to text, photos, coordinates, and other content you upload provided you are entitled to record it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, revocable to the extent technically feasible after deletion, to host, store, reproduce, adapt formats, display within the app and ancillary services, sync across devices, and prevent fraud—solely to provide the Service. You represent that your content does not infringe third-party rights or law. We may remove material that violates these Terms, the law, or court orders, without prior notice when necessary.

12. Educational information — not professional advice

Tips, reminders, stats, weather widgets, and visualizations are informational only. They are not a substitute for on-site technical or veterinary advice, environmental compliance, bee transport rules, contracts, or local regulations. Management, treatment, transport, and commercial decisions are yours alone.
